Alloderm is a skin graft used primarily during hernia and/or breast reconstruction surgery. It is skin tissue taken from cadavers. Its purpose is to be elastic and strong so that it can successfully integrate into the recipients body to produce new skin cells, thereby assisting in the patients full recovery.
