Today, it is well known how strong the relationship is between someone’s brain and someone’s cognitive abilities (memory, decision-making, personality, etc.). This relationship is so apparent today that it almost feels silly to even question it. Its obviousness is evident when we consider traumatic brain injury and the devastating effects it has.

Truck Accidents Are Not Like Car Accidents

Most of us have experienced the utter frustration of sharing the highway with the multitude of truckers out there, especially when there is a trucking accident. In these instances of frustration, it is rare to take a step back and recognize the utter necessity of truck driving for produce, commercial goods, and industry. In spite of our great need of the truck driving industry, the fact remains that truck accidents are not like car accidents. The difference is more apparent on the surface but more unique in the logistics involved underneath what we see.

Support for RSD Patients, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome

There are many accidents that can occur in our lives. Often times, we are able to bounce back from these different kinds of accidents with little ill effect. Those who suffer from reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSD), there is one accident that has changed their lives forever, making bouncing back from later accidents almost impossible. For Colleen Westra, age 52, a car accident in 2003 serves as one such accident. An article in Kalamazoo Living featured a story of Westra’s battle with reflex dystrophy and how she now uses her own struggles to offer support for those who also suffer from reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome.

More Studies Reveal Certain Drugs as Highly Associated With Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS)

Stevens-Johnsons Syndrome (SJS) is a horrific condition that results in the separation of the skin from the dermis. Those who suffer from this condition face serious challenges in dealing with pain, treatment, and the risk of other serious complications. A truly tragic aspect of SJS is that more and more evidence is coming out showing that taking certain drugs is linked to Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. This article described some of the additions to the list of medications identified as causative drugs as well as a few details about Stevens-Johnson Syndrome itself.

Father & Son Die in Motorcycle Accident Due to “Blind Curve”

Motorcycles have always had a rebellious appeal to them as well as being associated with danger and intrigue. Ever since its introduction as a mainstream vehicle, motorcycles have grown increasingly popular. As they have become more common, so have motorcycle crashes. Many of these crashes result from negligence on the part of other motorists in being aware of motorcycles on the road. Another contributing factor to the number of motorcycle crashes is conditions not being favorable for motorcycles.
