July 5, 2011 FDA Advisory Alert
On May 8th, 2011 the FDA announced an additional public awareness alert concerning the risk of Chantix related to heart conditions such as heart attacks and strokes. A study released last week by the Canadian Medical Association Journal has concluded that Chantix increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular events over 70% compared to smokers who did not use the anti smoking drug, and used a Placebo for the study.

For many years, our law firm and our partners have been investigating and representing Chantix side effect victims for suicides which were not adequately disclosed by the manufacturer.

We now strongly believe that side effect victims who suffered from heart attacks and strokes while on Chantix also have a viable claim against the manufacturer.

The Canadian study consisted of 700 cigarette smokers and found higher incidents of cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes from smokers using Chantix then a Placebo.

There is now talk of a Chantix recall. In June, 2011, France refused to reimburse French citizens who wanted to purchase Chantix in spite of its documented risks.

The attorneys at Nadrich & Cohen are now actively investigating and reviewing Chantix heart attack and stroke side effect claims. We have put together a highly experienced and capablenational Chantix litigation team of doctors, nurses, expert witnesses, lawyers and paralegals.
Please contact us for a free consultation and claims evaluation if you suspect you or your family member suffered one of these side effects. We are contingency fee lawyers so there is no attorney's fees unless we are successful in obtaining a monetary recovery for you or a loved one.

The Law Offices of Nadrich and Cohen, a national personal injury and pharmaceutical side-effect firm, is actively investigating victims who have suffered depression, suicidal behavior from the anti-smoking drug known as Chantix. This drug has been linked to these factors. On July 1, 2009, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it is requiring the manufacturer of Chantix and Zyban to place a black box warning in order to warn consumers of the increased side effects from the use of these drugs, causing serious mental health events, including changes in behavior, depressed mood, hostility, and suicidal thoughts, leading to attempted suicides. We are investigating attempted suicides of Chantix users.
