Januvia Causing Pancreatitis

Januvia is a drug used to treat Type 2 Diabetes. Unfortunately, Januvia can cause acute side effects including the following:

Januvia is manufactured by Merck and Co. It was first approved for sale and distribution in the United States in 2006. It lowers the blood sugar levels in a patient. The effect is to produce insulin in the body so that a proper balance can be had between the amount of insulin and the amount of blood sugar.

The most common side effect is acute pancreatitis, which is the inflammation of the pancreas.
