Dear Randal,

Thank you so much for all you're doing. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate it. As I told Larry yesterday, I have recommended (and will keep doing so) Nadrich & Associates to people who have been injured in accidents. Having an attorney is the real "insurance." Insurance companies are just "fair weather friends," smiling as they take your money…until you make a claim, then they don't know you.

Without you, Larry and Lizbet's kindness, consideration and compassion during all of this, the pain and hassle would have been magnified an untold amount. Your compassion towards me after the horrible examination by (the doctor) was very kind. The whole thing was absurd enough...but after (the doctor) whacking the hell out of my knee and then (the doctor's) slimy little "hands on" chest exam...and mortician's bed-side manner...well, it was just too much...coupled with everything else I'm dealing with. I'm pretty tired of having to "tough it out" through things. I only hope you all realize how special you are as an attorney and gentleman.

Last night I faxed the authorization from Kinko's to the main NA number. I hope that is what you need for this. I cannot write very fast anymore, (the left hand you know) and my computer had just crashed, so I did the best I could to remember what you'd said.

Would you prefer to cancel our appointment next week or keep it to sign the release, etc? Of course, as I said, I would love to take you and Larry (Lizbet too if her boss will let her off :D) to lunch...but I know your time is pressed always...so if not, I can just come in and sign the release papers. Whatever works best for you, let me know.

"Knight in Shining Armor!"

Oh wow. You made me cry. I'd really lost all hope! Sure, I've had more than my share of injuries...that's why they're called "accidents." I just get up, keep moving and work through the pain. What else can I do? But my medical history sure makes me sound like Calamity Jane, which makes it pretty tough on your end. When I told you (Jeffrey) about the freezer-door concussion and all that at the consultation - you just smiled and said you'd won cases with much worse medical history than mine. But whatever the settlement, I know you've done the very best you can, and you must know how deeply I appreciate it. More than that I cannot ask. All of your compassion and concern has gone a long way in helping my recovery. Just knowing you all are fighting so hard on my behalf has meant a great deal. I was involved in a car accident last May in Los Angeles, CA. Even though the accident was not my fault, the insurance companies from both parties were giving me the run around. Jeffrey Nadrich, Martin Fine, Melissa Verduzco, and Larry Jordan,

Let me give a small bit of background first. After I was injured in my accident, I sought insurance company relief directly. They were accommodating at first. Later when they made a small offer to settle this matter, I sought the advice of an attorney.

Key to the presentation I was to make to prospective counsel was the obvious insurance company belief in their own policy holder’s culpability. I searched through online communities of fellow bicyclists. I repeatedly came across recommendations for Mr. X. I also found a small ad of his in a local bicyclists’ newsletter. There I found the names of other attorneys too.

But I sought Mr. X first. I was impressed by his extensive bicycling involvement. During our phone conversation, he was personally knowledgeable about the exact spot of my accident. Yet in the end he did not think my case had much merit, if any. A separated shoulder, he told me, was not a major injury. He specifically told me to see a doctor on my own time and nickel, to procure a medical opinion that my shoulder injuries were in need of future correction. From there I was to present him with a medical report, at which time he would decide if my case was worth taking. Imagine that.

Second was an attorney in Sacramento. He seemed quite aggressive and interested. But the longer we talked the less confidence I had in him. Ultimately, after he considered what I had told him, he no longer believed my case to be worth much.

Third was an attorney whose secretary had me leave a long, detailed voice message outlining my injuries and the case history so far. I am still waiting for his return call. Apparently neither he considered my injuries “worth much.”

At this point I was not optimistic. In fact, I was downright depressed. I sat with serious shoulder injuries, having read about potential crippling arthritis and radial surgery to save future arm use, and wondered why on Earth I was not due some compensation.

Enter Nadrich & Cohen, LLP. I cannot recall exactly how I discovered your firm, but possible an ad in that same bicycling newsletter. During our first phone conversation, Jeffrey Nadrich invited me for a face to face meeting. The firm was professional and impressive. In person, Mr. Nadrich was equally professional, but also considerate, friendly, and optimistic. For what more could someone ask in an attorney? Mr. Nadrich listened to me and saw the merit of my case, plain and simple. I also found him a bit charming, with an interesting history and sharing similar interests.

From then on, Melissa Verduzco and I talked countless times on the phone. I received nothing but consideration and helpfulness at every step of the way. She was prompt in her return calls, handled documents quickly, and was in every way imaginable good to me. She was always on top of the case details, never at a loss.

In the final negotiations, Martin Fine phoned me with details of the potential settlement. He was nothing short of utterly professional. Too, his phone demeanor was friendly and optimistic, so welcome to me. His voice and assurance gave me total confidence in him and the agreement reached. In the end I have to fact two iffy shoulders, and my belief in the settlement is necessary for my sanity. I cannot thank him enough for his efforts.

To close the case I have dealt with you Larry Jordan. From the get go Larry has been helpful and considerate. Not once did he hesitate even for a moment to amend, refax, recheck, and seek further help on my behalf. I caused quite a bit of extra work for him. I cannot thank him enough for bending over backwards. Our phone conversations have been exceptionally friendly and I have welcomed them all.

In conclusion, I think Nadrich & Cohen, LLP is an outstanding team. From day one I have been impressed. Each person that talked to me was extraordinary. My case settled for what I believe a good sum for my injuries. I received nothing but courteousness and friendliness in my personal dealings. My thoughts were always considered, and I was never left in the dark about the status of my case and actions on my behalf. I received exceptional representation and simply could not be more pleased about it. I will not hesitate to refer my friends, family, and associates to your firm if such a need arises. I certainly will not hesitate if, God forbid, I am injured in the future.

Re: 2001 Automobile Accident

Last Christmas Eve I was involved in a serious car accident in Lake Tahoe, California. The accident was not my fault and my 2000 Nissan Xterra was a total loss. Even though the accident was not my fault, the insurance company gave me a great deal of trouble by not cooperating with me concerning my car damage car and providing us with a rental car.

Because I am a paralegal at a large downtown Los Angeles law firm, I believed I could handle the claim alone and deal with the insurance companies without the aid of a personal injury lawyer. How I was mistaken!

Both my insurance company and the other parties gave me the complete runaround and did not cooperate at all. Being a paralegal did not help.

When it was hopeless, I went to the internet and searched for personal injury lawyers. I wanted a personal injury law firm that was in California and large enough to handle a matter where I had medical treatment in southern California, even though the accident was in Northern California. I was very impressed by the Nadrich & Cohen, LLP website for its content and helpful information on how I could take care of my auto claim myself.

Since I wasn't getting anywhere, I knew that I needed help. I contacted Nadrich & Cohen, LLP and spoke to Jeffrey Nadrich personally. I couldn't believe how open and responsive he was to my problems. I decided to allow the law firm to represent me and to take care of the problems with my car and help me to get the best settlement for my personal injury claim.

Well, it turned out their results were beyond my expectations. Not only did they turn the insurance company around and get my property damage claim resolved, they got me reimbursed for all my rental car expenses, my property damage deductible and, at the end, they got me a settlement of $30,000, when I was only expecting $7,500.

Good morning Sylvia!

Hope this letter finds you well. It was very nice speaking with you earlier in the week!

I mentioned you in one of the meetings I had to attend this morning. Two of the people there were complaining because their attorneys' paralegals are, apparently, rude and not very good at their jobs. One made the comment, "Most of the paralegals I've known really suck." I told him my attorney's paralegal, Sylvia, is magnificent. This kicked off something of a debate in the room (there were about 75-80 people present, many of whom were either doctors, lawyers, or legal staff of same) and most seemed hostile to the guys who were critical of people in your profession. I found myself in the middle of the impromptu debate and was asked to explain, so I told the whole room the truth-- I said that in your sincerity, striving and caring, that you are unequaled in the legal, medical support staff and business profession. I told them that you had pulled my backside out of the fire on at least three occasions, (I was esp thinking about the medical records fiasco I caused on the way up to LA--if I hadn't had them Dr. Fuller's staff made clear they would NOT have seen me) that you are ALWAYS courteous, professional and check in with me on a regular basis--all while handling God knows how many other clients; juggling the demands of twin two year olds and a husband (many women in the audience voiced their knowing support at that) I told the people there that you have the heart of a lion, the determination of a mud marine, your feats are legendary and you have the strength of an elephant. Nadrich is lucky--VERY lucky--to have you. Throughout the dark night of this whole personal ordeal of my accident and the tremendous physical pain that has accompanied it YOU have been a bright, shining light I could always count on. I'm more of a writer instead of a talker; I can be a little shy in certain situations. When I met you my voice just deserted me. I remember staring lamely at the parking validation in your hand. What can I say? Your presence was very powerful. I hope we get the chance to talk again-- next time I won't act like a junior high kid meeting a rock star (grin).

A little girl was once assigned to give a report on the philosopher Socrates. She wrote, in part: "Socrates was a philosopher--he talked and wrote a lot."
