Plavix Side Effect Lawsuit

Plavix has been marketed extensively throughout the United States by its manufacturer Bristol-Myers Squibb Sanofi as a prescription drug advertised to be more effective than Aspirin in treating heart disease.

In fact, studies have shown that Plavix has almost no positive effect beyond Aspirin. Recent studies have also concluded that Plavix patients may be responsible by a factor of ten against non Plavix patients in being diagnosed with ulcers due to its use. Plavix may cause bleeding ulcers.

A recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine concluded that the combination and Plavix and Aspirin did not help or prevent a second heart attack but increased the risk of heart attack or stroke with patients who have no prior cardiovascular history. The study concluded that the cost and risk of Plavix is not merited for the prevention of coronary artery disease and heart attacks.

We are reviewing Plavix side effect claims throughout the country of those who suffered heart attacks, strokes, ulcers, internal bleeding and blood disorders while on Plavix.

If you or a loved one has taken Plavix and experienced these side effects which include gastrointestinal bleeding, heart attacks, strokes please contact us immediately. You may be entitled to a financial recovery against the manufacturer.

Remember, Plavix has been marketed to such an extent that it is now the sixth top selling drug with sales totaling over 3.8 billion dollars. It is used in combination with Aspirin commonlyprescribed as a preventative measure against strokes and heart attacks. Unfortunately, the reverse may be true due to the above referenced conclusions of the New England Journal of Medicine study.
