Yaz/Yasmine Update

Below are a group of letters authored by the FDA concerning Yaz and Yasmine marketing.

Remember, since Yaz, Yasmine, and Ocella were introduced into the marketplace, there have been four FDA warning letters relating to these oral contraceptives, which are called DRSP/EE Oral Contraceptives.

It is important to note that DRSP means Drospirenone is a type of progestin. Over one year ago, the FDA was aware of the link between pancreatitis and Yaz, as well as studies reflecting the risk of blood clots from Yaz/Yasmine use.
