High-Speed Chase in Salinas Leads to Fatality

Fatal Car Crash, Fatal Accident, Fatal Car Accident

Salinas, CA (March 30, 2019) – A young man was killed and a teen was injured in an accident caused by a high-speed chase in Salinas. The fatal accident occurred just after midnight on March 30 on Alisal Road.

An 18-year-old man was driving a Lexus recklessly shortly after midnight near Williams and Bardin Road. A police officer attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the man sped off. The vehicle went south on Alisal Road and the man continued on until he lost control and hit a pole. He was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The passenger, a 17-year-old boy from Salinas, suffered minor injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
