Police Chase Leads to Fatal Woodland Accident

Woodland, CA (May 2, 2019) – One person was killed and another was injured after a police chase led to a crash in Woodland. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of May 2 on County Road 101.

A person informed a police officer about a robbery at a local Chevron gas station. The officer saw a man run out of the gas station and into a car that was waiting for him outside. The officer chased after the vehicle

A short time later, the car crashed on County Road 101, near Pioneer Avenue. The car collided with a power pole and overturned. One person was ejected from the car. The victim died at the accident scene.

Another person was trapped inside the vehicle. He was removed by emergency crews and taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
