El Dorado, CA (October 13, 2019) – One man was killed and another was injured in a crash in solo-vehicle crash in El Dorado. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 13 on State Route 49.

A 63-year-old man from El Dorado Hills was on southbound State Route 49, near Lauren Lane. He was driving a Ford Ranger when it crossed over the northbound shoulder of State Route 49. It went down an embankment and crashed into an oak tree. 

Emergency crews pulled the driver from the wreckage. The driver was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died. The passenger, a 19-year-old man from El Dorado Hills, was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months.
