1 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on Copus Road
Robert Giron Arrested for DUI, Manslaughter in Fatal Bakersfield Accident
Bakersfield, CA (April 26, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a DUI crash in Bakersfield. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of April 26 on Copus Road.
Robert Giron was driving in the area of Copus Road, near southbound Highway 99, when he collided with a pickup truck. The crash happened when he failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled out in front of a pickup. Giron was under the influence at the time of the accident.
Giron suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital. The passenger in Giron’s car died from their injuries. The driver of the pickup complained of pain. Giron faces multiple criminal charges, including DUI and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
