1 Killed, 3 Injured in Crash on 405 Freeway
Culver City Accident Leads to Fire, Fatality
Culver City, CA (August 15, 2018) – One person was killed and three others were injured in an accident in Culver City. The crash was caused by a police chase on the 405 Freeway.
The police pursuit began when the driver of a Honda Odyssey failed to yield to police. The Honda Odyssey got onto the 405 Freeway and crashed on the Sepulveda Boulevard off-ramp. The minivan then erupted in flames.
Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue the occupants of the Honda. A 25-year-old woman died at the accident scene. Three others were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The male driver was arrested for DUI and vehicle theft.
