Work Truck Hits Parked Vehicles in Fatal Chula Vista Accident

Chula Vista, CA (September 30, 2019) – A man was killed and three others were injured when a truck crashed into parked vehicles in Chula Vista. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of September 30 on 4th Avenue.

A man driving a Chevrolet work truck north in the 500 block of 4th Avenue when he lost control. He hit a parked Chevrolet Silverado pickup. The Silverado then hit a second parked car, as well as an 81-year-old man who was crossing the street. The man ended up trapped underneath the Silverado. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. 

A woman and child standing next to the second vehicle and a second child inside were hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the work truck remained at the accident scene and cooperated with officers.
