1 Killed in Accident on County Road 98

5 Others Injured in Head-on Crash in Woodland

Woodland, CA (March 23, 2019) – One person was killed in a head-on crash in Woodland. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of March 23 on County Road 98.

The crash happened when a Chevrolet was heading north on County near Harlan Lane. At the same time, a Ford was heading south on the same road.

The driver of the Chevrolet drifted into the southbound lane and hit the Ford head-on. The driver of the Chevrolet, a resident of Williams, died at the accident scene.

The Ford contained five occupants, all teens. Michael Pryor, 17, of Esparto, suffered serious injuries. Woodland residents Mario Johnson, 18, Kyle Betzer, 17, Gabriel Hartmann, 16, and Samuel Fellows, 16, all suffered minor injuries.
