1 Killed in Accident on Highway 101

Woman Dies in Montecito Crash

Montecito, CA (June 2, 2018) –An accident in Montecito has claimed the life of one person. The fatal crash happened on the morning of June 2 on Highway 101 near the Olive Mill Road off-ramp.

The motorist was driving a Hyundai on Highway 101. The vehicle suddenly left the roadway near the Olive Mill Road off-rampand went down an embankment.

The Hyundaihit a street lamp and a tree. The driver, 31-year-old Kyle Jesse Maysey of Mission Viejo, suffered head trauma and a broken leg. The passenger, a 23-year-old woman who has not been identified, died at the accident scene. The two occupants inside wearing seatbelts at the time. The accident closed the Olive Mill Road off-ramp for several hours.
