Shandon, CA (March 23, 2019) – A crash in Shandon has killed one person and injured three others. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of March 23 on Highway 46.

The crash happened when Holga Godinezxochitla, 33, of Wasco, was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer in the parking lot of the Jack Ranch Café. She was attempting to turn left onto Highway 46 when a Toyota Sienna approached her.

Godinezxochitla didn’t see the Toyota and pulled out in front of it, causing a head-on crash. A passenger in the back seat of the Mitsubishi was ejected from the vehicle. The passenger, an unidentified woman, died at the accident scene.

Three others inside the Mitsubishi suffered major injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Seven people were inside the Toyota, but none were injured.
