Covina Big Rig Accident Leads to Fatality

Covina, CA (April 24, 2019) – A big rig accident in Covina has left one person dead. The fatal crash occurred on the afternoon of April 24 on West San Bernardino Road.

A Honda sedan and a big rig collided on West San Bernardino Road, near North Nora Avenue. The impact pushed the Honda under the big rig’s trailer. The driver of the Honda, an unidentified male, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The truck driver was not injured.

PG&E Says It Knew Its Lines Could Spark Fires

PG&E Corp acknowledged in July 2019 that it has known for many years that its power lines could fail, sparking wildfires in the process. The acknowledgment came in a federal court filing which had been mandated by U.S. district judge William Alsup, who had ordered PG&E to respond to a Wall Street Journal article on a “paragraph-by-paragraph basis.”
