1 Killed in Pedestrian Accident on East Santiago Canyon Road
Man Dies in Silverado Crash
Silverado, CA (July 4, 2018) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Silverado. The crash occurred on the morning of July 4 on East Santiago Canyon Road.
A Hyundai Sonata lost control near Hicks Haul Road. It left the roadway and slammed into a tree. The 28-year-old male driver exited the wrecked vehicle, leaving a 27-year-old female passenger inside.
A Hyundai Elantra, driven by 44-year-old Luis Rocha failed to avoid a head-on collision with the disabled Sonata. The impact pushed the vehicle to the 28-year-old man, causing fatal injuries. The Hyundai driver died at the accident scene. The passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries.
