11 Children Injured in Bus Crash on 17th Street and Chester Avenue


Several Kids Hospitalized in Bakersfield Accident

Bakersfield, CA (March 13, 2019) – A bus crash in Bakersfield injured 11 children. The accident occurred on the morning of March 12 at 17th street and Chester Avenue.

A bus carrying 40 to 50 kids was traveling westbound on 17th Street when it collided with a vehicle at the intersection. Eleven kids suffered minor injuries. Several were taken to a local hospital, while the others were treated at the accident scene.

Another bus transported the uninjured kids to school. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
