19-Year-Old Man Killed After Car Goes Off Cliff on Mines Road

Livermore Crash Leads to Fatality

Livermore, CA (August 12, 2018) – A crash in Livermore has claimed the life of a Tracy man. The fatal accident happened on the morning of August 12 on Mines Road.

A Ford Mustang traveling south went off a cliff near 16975 Mines Road. The 19-year-old man driving the Mustang was leading his friends, who were behind him in a separate car.

The man lost control when he came upon a curve in the road. The car overturned and went down the cliff.

The man’s friends rescued him from the cliff but could not contact emergency crews due to a lack of phone service. The friends drove away from the scene to call police. The 19-year-old man later died at a hospital.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victim.

New California Law Extends Time For Filing Child Sexual Abuse Claims

A flurry of allegations of Catholic priest sexual abuse of minors, as well as former U.S. Olympic gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar’s 2018 conviction, led to the introduction of the legislation.
