2 Killed In Fiery Crash On Shoreline Drive In Long Beach

October 14, 2017: Two people were killed in a fiery crash Saturday night after a driver was cut off by another vehicle on Shoreline Drive. The accident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Shoreline Drive.

Both cars were traveling northbound on Shoreline Drive near Ocean Boulevard, when the driver of one vehicle abruptly cut off another vehicle. In order to avoid striking the vehicle that had just cut it off, the driver of the other vehicle swerved and struck the center divider.

A woman was ejected from the vehicle that struck the center divider; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other vehicle occupant, a male, was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver who cut off the vehicle survived the crash and was uninjured. The accident remains under investigation.
