Corte Madera, CA (October 7, 2019) – Three people were injured in a chain-reaction crash in Corte Madera. The accident occurred on the morning of October 7 on Highway 101.
Seven vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened on northbound Highway 101, near Tamalpais Drive. The driver of a Ford Crown Victoria rear-ended a Nissan Altima. The Nissan spun across the freeway, while the Ford landed in the freeway’s center divide.
That set off a chain reaction as drivers swerved to avoid the crash. A BMW hit a Toyota Rav4, slamming it across the freeway. It then went 20 feet down an embankment.
Three people were injured in the crash. They were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two left lanes were closed for more than two hours.
