4 Injured in Crash at Camino de los Mares and Avenida Vaquero
Out of Control Truck Hits Bicyclists, Pedestrian in San Clement
San Clemente, CA (August 12, 2018) – An out-of-control pickup truck injured three people in San Clemente. The accident happened at Camino de los Mares and Avenida Vaquero on the afternoon of April 12.
The driver of the Dodge pickup truck, for unknown reasons, crossed the road and hit a center divider. It then slammed into a light pole at the intersection. It hit four parked cars, with the impact causing a domino effect that injured two bicyclists and a pedestrian.
Two of the victims suffered significant injuries and had to be airlifted to local hospitals. One is in critical condition. The driver of the Dodge, a man in his 30s, was also injured and treated at a local hospital.
