60 Freeway Accident Kills 2 Men
Suspect in Custody After Riverside Hit and Run Crash
Riverside, CA (June9, 2018) –A hit and run accident in Riverside has left two men dead. The fatal crash happened on the morning of June 9 on the 60 Freeway.
The suspect, 22-year-old Eric Figueroa-Reyes from Fontana, was arrested following the accident. The accident occurred at the westbound 60 Freeway entrance at Market Street. Paramedics found a Jeep in the center median and a Nissan Sentra off the roadway.
The Sentra was heading north on Market Street. It attempted to make a left turn onto the 60 Freeway on-ramp when the Jeep, traveling south, ran a red light.
The Jeep hit the sedan.The driver of the Jeep fled the accident scene. The driver of the Sentra, an unidentified female, suffered minor injuries. Two male passengers in the Sentra died from their injuries. Neither man was wearing seat belts.
