3-Year-Old Hugo Medina 1 of 2 Children Injured in Modesto Accident
Modesto, CA (March 31, 2019) – A 3-year-old boy and seven others were injured in a DUI crash in Modesto. The accident occurred on the afternoon of March 31 on Grayson Road.
Usbaldo Santos-Estrada, 23, of Patterson, was driving a Mazda B4000 north on Grayson Road near Vivian Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a Saturn Outlook. The impact caused the Mazda to overturn. The Saturn went off the road and hit a metal fence.
Hugo Medina, 3, a passenger in the Saturn, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Four people inside the Mazda and two people inside the Saturn suffered injuries ranging from minor to major. Santos-Estrada was arrested for DUI and could face illegal gun possession charges as well.
