9 Injured in Crash at Sherman Way and De Soto Avenue
WSS Store Flooded in Multi-Vehicle Accident in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (October 20, 2019) – Nine people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles. The accident occurred on the evening of October 20 at Sherman Way and De Soto Avenue.
Multiple vehicles collided at Sherman Way and De Soto Avenue for unknown reasons. One vehicle hit a fire hydrant, causing a deluge of water from the hydrant. Water shot into the air, flooding the intersection as well as the roof of a WSS shoe store.
Part of the building collapsed, causing significant flooding and structural damage. Power lines also were downed in the crash, causing electricity to get shut off.
Nine people were injured in the accident. Five were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, while four others suffered less severe injuries.
