San Jose, CA (May 20, 2018) – A car accident has left a teen dead. The fatal crash happened on Highway 101 on the morning of May 20 in San Jose.
Before the crash occurred, a 16-year-old boy was driving an Acura TL that was involved in a different crash on Oakland Road. The impact of the first crash threw the Acura onto northbound Highway 101. It came to rest between the passing lane and the lane next to it.
A Toyota Camry was in the passing lane traveling at 65 mph. The driver was unable to avoid the Acura and the two vehicles collided.
An 18-year-old man from San Jose died the crash. A 16-year-old boy sustained major injuries. The 69-year-old driver of the Toyota was treated and released.
