Pedestrian in Wheelchair Hit by Pickup Truck in Eureka Accident

Eureka, CA (December 1, 2020) – One person was injured in a pedestrian crash in Eureka. The accident occurred on the afternoon of December 1 West Henderson and Fairfield streets.

A pedestrian in a wheelchair was crossing the intersection when they were hit by a Chevy pickup truck. The victim was outside the crosswalk at the time of the crash. They suffered a head injury and were taken to a local hospital. The driver said that the sun was in her eyes.
