1 Injured in Crash on Highway 101

Woman Arrested for DUI in Santa Rosa Accident

Santa Rosa, CA (July 9, 2020) – One person was injured in a DUI crash in Santa Rosa. The accident occurred on the morning of July 9 on Highway 101. 

Star Baggett-Porter, 31, of Arizona, was driving a Chevrolet Impala on northbound Highway 101 near the downtown Santa Rosa exit. She rear-ended a Toyota Tacoma driven by Luis Orea Ortiz, 37, of Rohnert Park. Ortiz lost control of the Toyota and collided with a third vehicle, a Nissan Frontier driven by Ebodio Osorio Castro, 40, of Rohnert Park.

Both pickups overturned. The Toyota went down an embankment, landing next to the Third Street offramp. Castro was hospitalized with minor injuries. Baggett-Porter was arrested for DUI and booked into the Sonoma County Jail on $100,000 bail.
