1 Injured in Crash on Highway 101
4 Vehicles Involved in Willits Accident
Willits, CA (November 4, 2019) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Willits. The accident occurred on the morning of November 4 on Highway 101.
A 51-year-old man from Fortuna was driving a Nissan south on Highway 101. He stopped when he approached a traffic hazard, the CHP said. A 58-year-old man from Arcata was driving a Peterbilt big rig behind the Nissan and turned to the left.
A Chrysler van carrying two Willits men, ages 33 and 57, then approached the scene. The driver of the Chrysler drove around the Peterbilt and then a Peterbilt log truck came onto the scene.
A 29-year-old man driving the log truck collided with the other Peterbilt, which then crashed into the Nissan. The log truck then hit the Chrysler. The Peterbilt then went down a steep embankment. A passenger in the Chrysler suffered major injuries, including a broken wrist.
