Oakland, CA (December 3, 2019) – One person was injured in a crash in Oakland. The accident occurred on the evening of December 3 on Highway 24.

A Toyota Highlander and a second vehicle collided on Highway 24, near 51st Street. One person was injured and taken to a local hospital.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) announced a $13.5 billion settlement on December 6th, 2019, for victims of Northern California wildfires and the Oakland Ghost Ship Fire which destroyed thousands of businesses and homes and killed dozens of people.
