Hit and Run Accident in San Marcos Causes Injuries

San Marcos, CA (October 28, 2019) – One person was injured in a hit and run crash in San Marcos. The accident occurred on the evening of October 28 on Highway 78.

CHP found a vehicle up against a wall on eastbound Highway 78, near Rancho Santa Fe Road. A Nissan Pathfinder hit a Toyota Scion for unknown reasons.

The Toyota spun out of control and rolled over. An occupant of the Scion complained of pain. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

The driver of the Nissan continued on without stopping. CHP later found the suspect car abandoned on Smilax Road.
