1 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash at Highway 180 and Chateau Fresno Avenue


Big Rig, SUV Collide in Fatal Fresno Accident

Fresno, CA (August 19, 2020) – One person was killed and another person was injured in a crash in Fresno. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of August 19 at Highway 180 and Chateau Fresno Avenue.

A Chevrolet SUV was stopped on westbound Highway 180, waiting to make a left turn onto Chateau Fresno Avenue. A big rig could not stop in time and hit the SUV head-on. A male passenger in the Chevrolet died in the crash. 

A woman driving the SUV was trapped inside the wreckage and removed by firefighters. She was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the big rig was not injured.
