1 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash at Pond and Melcher Roads


Driver Runs Stop Sign in Fatal McFarland Accident

McFarland, CA (July 11, 2020) – One woman was killed and another was injured in a crash in McFarland. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of July 11 at Pond and Melcher roads.

A 23-year-old woman was traveling on Melcher Road when she failed to stop at the stop sign. She hit a woman driving on Pond Road.

The second vehicle hit a power pole, causing the woman to be trapped inside her vehicle. She died at the accident scene. The other woman was hospitalized with major injuries.
