Ana Guillen Arrested for DUI in Fatal Baldwin Park Accident

Baldwin Park, CA (February 19, 2020) – One person was killed and another was injured in a crash in Baldwin Park. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of February 19 on the 10 Freeway.

Ana Guillen, 57, of West Covina, was arrested for DUI after causing a chain-reaction crash on the westbound 10 Freeway, near Francisquito Avenue. She was driving slowly on the highway in a Hyundai Santa Fe when a Nissan pickup rear-ended her and spun out of control. A Honda Accord then hit the pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the Nissan truck, a 55-year-old man from Montclair, died at the accident scene. The driver of the Honda, 37-year-old Luis Uribe of Covina, was hospitalized with a fractured back.

Guillen was arrested and taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. She was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victim.

FDA Issues Warnings To Two Manufacturers Of Breast Implants

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just issued warning letters to two manufacturers of breast implants for failing to comply with regulatory requirements. The FDA sent a warning letter to Allergan for failure to comply with requirements to conduct post-approval studies assessing the risks and long-term safety of two separate breast implant models. Both breast implant models were voluntarily recalled last year. The FDA also sent a warning letter to Ideal Implant Incorporated. That letter was sent for failing to comply with adverse event reporting requirements and current good manufacturing practice requirements. The letter was prompted by an inspection which was conducted earlier in 2020.
