Car Goes Down Embankment in Fatal San Diego Accident

San Diego, CA (February 3, 2020) – A woman was killed and a man was injured in a solo-vehicle crash in San Diego. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of February 3 on Alto Drive.

A 92-year-old man was recovering at a hospital Tuesday from injuries he suffered when the car he was driving crashed about 100 yards down a roadside embankment near Mount Helix, killing his 94-year-old wife.

A 92-year-old man was driving a Lexus ES300 went off a driveway on Alto Drive and went down an embankment. The Lexus rolled over several times and landed on top of a retaining wall in a backyard. The passenger, a 94-year-old woman, died at the accident scene. The driver, the woman’s husband, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
