1 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash on Highway 33 Near Sullivan Road

2 Vehicles Collide in Fatal Gustine Accident 

Gustine, CA (April 22, 2020) – A man was killed in a crash in Gustine. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of April 22 on Highway 33.

Lisa Chavez, 23, of San Jose, was driving an Acura Integra on northbound Highway 33, near Sullivan Road. She had a passenger, a 26-year-old man from San Jose, in the front seat.

Chavez attempted to make a left turn onto Sullivan Road and turned in front of a Nissan Sentra driven by Luis Cruz, 25, of Santa Nella. The two vehicles collided. The passenger in the Acura died at the accident scene. Chavez was taken to a local hospital with complaints of pain. Cruz was not injured.
