1 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash on Interstate 15 at Via Rancho Parkway


Drugs, Alcohol Involved in Fatal Rancho Bernardo Accident

Escondido, CA (March 3, 2020) – One person was killed and another was injured in a solo-vehicle crash in Rancho Bernardo. The fatal accident occurred after midnight on March 3 on Interstate 15.

Two people were inside a Lexus that crashed and landed on its side on northbound Interstate 15 at Via Rancho Parkway. Neither were wearing seatbelts and both were ejected from the vehicle. 

A 24-year-old man from Florida landed in the road and was hit by a vehicle. The man died at the accident scene. A 20-year-old woman from San Diego was hospitalized with major injuries. Drugs and/or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash.
