1 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash on Interstate 580 Near Edwards Avenue

2 Vehicles Collide in Fatal Oakland Accident

Oakland, CA (February 14, 2021) – One person was killed and another was injured in a crash in Oakland. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of February 14 on Interstate 580.

A Plymouth Breeze was traveling on eastbound Interstate 580, near Edwards Avenue, when it was rear-ended by another vehicle. The driver of the Plymouth, an unidentified man, was hospitalized with major injuries. A female passenger died at the accident scene. The vehicle that rear-ended the Plymouth fled the crash site.
