Driver Arrested for DUI in Fatal Auburn Accident

Auburn, CA (November 3, 2019) – One person was killed and another was injured in a DUI crash in Auburn. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 3 on Mount Vernon Road.

A driver lost control of their vehicle and ran off Mount Vernon Road. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The passenger died from their injuries. 

The driver was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. The driver will be arrested for DUI once released.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victim.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
