Fatal Accident

Los Angeles, CA (November 29, 2019) – One person was killed and two children were injured in a crash in Los Angeles. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of November 29 at Colden and McKinley avenues.

One car ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle. Inside the other vehicles was a woman and two children. The woman died at the accident scene. The children, ages 10 and 12, were injured and underwent surgery. The driver of the other car remained at the accident scene. They were not injured.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
