1 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on 15 Freeway Near Highway 138

Phelan, CA (August 3, 2019) – One person was killed and two were injured in a crash in Phelan. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 3 on the 15 Freeway.

Two vehicles collided on the southbound 15 Freeway, near Highway 138. An SUV side-swiped a Toyota Prius and flew off the side of the freeway. The Prius came to a rest near the entrance of a runaway truck ramp. 

Two people suffered minor injuries. Firefighters located the SUV 200 feet off the side of the freeway. The driver was inside the vehicle and had died at the accident scene.
