1 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on Highway 101 Near Willits Bypass


3 Vehicles involved in Fatal Willits Accident

Willits, CA (October 15, 2020) – A man was killed in a crash in Willits. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of October 15 on Highway 101. 

A 40-year-old man from Santa Rosa man was driving a Chevrolet on northbound Highway 101, near the Willits bypass, when he crossed the double yellow lines. He collided head-on with a Toyota driven by a 29-year-old man from Covelo. The impact pushed the Chevrolet into the path of a Kenworth semi truck.

The driver of the Chevrolet was killed in the crash. The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital. An 8-year-old girl inside the Toyota was airlifted to a different hospital. The 37-year-old man driving the semi truck was not injured.
