1 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on Interstate 5 Near San Onofre Power Plant


SUV Rolls Over in Fatal Pendleton Accident

Pendleton, CA (October 20, 2020) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash in Pendleton. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 20 on Interstate 5.

The fatal accident was reported at approximately 5:50 a.m., on October 20, on Interstate 5 near the San Onofre power plant.

A Ford Explorer was traveling on Interstate 5, near the San Onofre power plant, when it crashed and rolled over several times. A passenger, a 71-year-old man from Los Angeles, was ejected from the Ford. He died at the accident scene. The driver, a 43-year-old man, and another passenger, a 70-year-old woman, suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to local hospitals.
