1 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on State Route 78 Near State Route 79

3 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Ramona Accident

Ramona, CA (January 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in a crash in Ramona. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of January 10 on State Route 78.

Two motorcyclists were on westbound State Route 78, near State Route 79, when one motorcycle hit a large rock on the side of the road. The motorcyclist was ejected.

The second motorcyclist traveled into the eastbound lanes of State Route 78, directly in the path of a Ford Focus. Both vehicles collided head-on, ejecting the motorcyclist.

The first motorcyclist was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries. The second motorcyclist died at the accident scene. The 71-year-old driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries.
