Quad Bike, Car Collide in Fatal Buttonwillow Accident

Buttonwillow, CA (September 11, 2020) – A teen boy was killed and two others were injured in a crash in Buttonwillow. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of September 11 at Brite Road and Wasco Way.

A 13-year-old boy was riding a Yamaha YZR 450 quad bike when he collided with a Honda Civic driven by Eduardo Zapedo, 19, of Delano. The boy and his passenger, a 15-year-old boy, were ejected from the bike.

The 13-year-old boy was killed in the crash. His passenger suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. Zapedo suffered minor injuries.
