Head-on Accident in Westley Leads to Fatality
Westley, CA (October 5, 2018) – Two people were killed and three others were injured in a crash in Westley. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of October 5 at Howard Road and Stark Road.
A Chevrolet Trailblazer and Toyota Corolla collided on the Delta-Mendota Canal bridge. The Trailblazer, driven by Patterson resident Alejandra Villanueva, 20, was traveling west on Howard Road when the vehicle went off the road and into the dirt and gravel shoulder. She then overcorrected, lost control and traveled into the eastbound lane. The Trailblazer went directly into the path of the Corolla, causing a head-on crash.
The driver of the Corolla and a passenger died at the accident scene. Another passenger suffered major injuries. He is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
Villanueva and passenger Armando Garcia, 21, of Patterson were also seriously injured.
