Car Rolls Over, Catches Fire in Fatal Tujunga Accident

Tujunga, CA (September 29, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a rollover crash in Tujunga. The fatal accident occurred just before noon on September 29 on Big Tujunga Canyon Road. 

A Mercedes SUV crashed near 12214 Big Tujunga Canyon Road. The vehicle flipped multiple times. It landed on its roof and caught fire.

All four victims were in the same vehicle – a Mercedes SUV – which somehow flipped several times and landed upside down before catching on fire.

One man was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the accident scene. Three other men suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The database contains medical device reports submitted to the FDA via its Alternative Summary Reporting Program from 1999 to 2019. Reports which were sent to this database were not, until recently, made public. The Alternative Summary Reporting Program is a non-public database, unlike the FDA’s MAUDE database which publicly logs medical device failures or defects for public review.
