San Diego Hit and Run Accident Results in Arrest

San Diego, CA (May 17, 2018) –  One person has been killed and three injured in a horrific San Diego crash. The fatal hitandrun accident happened on Interstate 8 on the afternoon of May 17.

A Toyota Avalon traveling west on Interstate 8 near Waring Road rear-ended a Toyota Prius at high speed. The Avalon veered into a center media and hit several trees. It thengot back onto the freeway and skidded across several before stopping.

The driver, a 20-year-old San Diego man, fled the scene on foot. He had three male occupants in his vehicle. One died and the other two were injured. The driver of the Prius, a 38-year-old woman, was not hurt in the crash.

Police found the hit and run suspect near Mission Gorge Road. He suffered minor injuries in the accident. He was arrested and taken into custody.
