Driver Hits Guardrail in Fatal San Diego Accident

San Diego, CA (January 7, 2020) – One person was killed and five others were injured in a solo-vehicle crash in San Diego. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of January 7 on State Route 905.

A driver lost control on westbound State Route 905, near Beyer Boulevard. He collided with a guardrail, trapping two men, ages 18 and 19, inside the vehicle. Emergency crews rescued the victims. They had to cut off the roof of the vehicle in order to access them. The unidentified male driver died at the accident scene.

Five people were injured and taken to a local hospital. All victims were teens between the ages of 15 and 19.
