Gilroy, CA (September 22, 2019) – One person was killed and six others were injured in a crash in Gilroy. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of September 22 at Highway 152 and Bloomfield Road.

A big rig and two other vehicles collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. Some victims were trapped inside their vehicles following the accident. One person was killed and six people were injured.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
